The Lost Team: Picking up the Trail - Page 2 Empty Re: The Lost Team: Picking up the Trail

Wed Feb 12, 2020 12:48 pm
The words of the group grew feint the more Rayul walked away. Hoping his brother would follow he could barely make out the ongoing conversation as they reached near-deafening distance as they began to embark on their half of the mission. He could hear Hikaru briefly mention treason and how this might've been the works of some village ninja choosing to go, rogue, which made sense. To be frank, that would be the worst-case scenario for those ninjas since Rayul has no problem knocking on every single door in the world to find who he's looking for.

As he walked he replayed the address in his head nearly 1000 times. It only takes 7 times of seeing something for an average human to remember it, so with this logic, Rayul had permanently etched the location into his brain, knowing that the secrecy behind their task must be respected. There was a level of severity behind the task that the entire group should respect as well since it's very rare for a ninja of Kumogakure to go missing and even more rare for them to get away with it. It must be nice to be living freely, however. Not having to conduct yourself based on the rules of the village, freedom to go wherever you want, having the status of 'missing', hell to be fair it was all something Rayul envied in away. He envied the lifestyle those without a village lived, knowing that they weren't confined by common laws or groups up to under the same category as 'villagers' as everyone else. As he walked the thoughts quickly escalated in his head, causing him to walk without knowledge of where he was truly going. He took steps while his vision was focused on the ground below, his Sharingan gazing on nothing but the surface below him as he visioned a time in which he was a missing ninja. If only he had the freedom and luxury of these people they were hunting had. His thoughts grew darker as the began to reflect on an alternate future for himself. One in which he truly was a missing ninja, coming back years after his departure of Kumogakure to return and be branded a traitor. His eyes in his visions are transcended further than their current state, revealing a Rinnegan in his left eye as he stands at the gates of Kumogakure as he's told he was no longer welcome in his own home. Fueled by rage and spite he slams his hands together, and as he begins to breathe heavily nothing seems to happen at first, until he utters the words "Chibaku Tensei". Feeling the earth shake the world around him trembles as he generates a moderately sized sphere of debris overhead. Tears run down his face as he reminiscences his times within the safety of the village, feeling as if the world has turned on him all because of his pursuit of freedom. If they destined Rayul to a fate of torment, then he'd do the same for them. He then thrusts his arms downward, sending it crashing into the ground like a meteor. As it reached closer to the ground he could hear the terrifying screams of the villagers from where he stood outside the gates, knowing that their lives were soon to come to an end as the massive formations began to collide with their planet on a truly devastating level. It only took mere seconds for the planetoid to meet the ground, splattering over a miles radius as the village was wiped from its epi-center on out. He stood there as the rubble and winds rustled passed him, soon flinging the village gates wide open as the impact force of the meteor making contact blew them open. In reality, Rayul stops in place, he breathes becoming longer as the visions he's encountering seem to be too real. His heart begins racing even faster, pounding on his chest as if ready to liberate itself from his body as his mind reveals scenarios of him facing the entirety of the Kumogakure Army.

As the village gates flung open, Rayul stood squatted with his hands together as he meets what remains of the Kumogakure Army after his attack. Nearly out of breath from such chakra-draining techniques he quickly catches his breath as he stands meters in front of the last survivors of Kumogakure. He looks past them and further into the village, seeing the aftermath caused by him for the first time. The village is nearly unrecognizable, and would surely be to anyone who was not a native. He could tell that those who remained were filled with fear and hatred towards him as they trembled at their gates, hoping to defend what was left with their lives. There was nothing left for him there and he didn't plan on attacking them again. As he stood up-right, he seems to vanish before his posture is fully made, and as his visions come to an abrupt halt Rayul seems to 'wake up' in real life, realizing the extent of his daydreams. It felt more like a nightmare, however, some parts felt as if it were his future. He tried hard to catch his breath, hoping Ghost wouldn't have noticed his sudden break in their journey. He covers his left eye with his hand momentarily, thinking about the visions he saw with the Rinnegan, and slowly lowers his hand as he reflects on everything that happened during his vision. Soon, he regains motive on what his task was, and after taking a minute to gather his thoughts and himself, he quickly gets back on track on to the task at hand.

The Lost Team: Picking up the Trail - Page 2 Empty Re: The Lost Team: Picking up the Trail

Ghost would look on as the AB Combo went about their daily mission. Simple enough to track down a few missing ninja of the cloud. All Ghost could think about is what had happened to think if anything at all. Maybe they was killed or something. Either way it was a very bad thing to think of to say the least. Not many people could escape from the ninja of the cloud in one peace to say the least. But if someone was able to best this group then by all means. They must be a really true threat indeed. But Ghost did not want his group to end up like that because well damn. Not many people had a bind like them. Soon enough they would be nearly at the given location that they needed to be at. But as he looked on over at his brother somewhere in his mind he was day dreaming.

Ghost would start to laugh to himself as Rayul might not know how he was looking to the outside world and boy was it funny. But to say the least the duo would soon arrive to the destination. As he looked on it seemed like a normal house which was two stories tall. He looked on as he tap Raylul to come back to his senses. He would look up as he said. "Well let's go check out the house and see do we got any info on this case here." He would smile as he activated his Byakugan.

A bead of sweat would appear on the side of Hikaru’s face , not from him being nervous but of course not. This bead of sweat came from being brought within smelling distance , smelling distance of zeno's scorched body and hair which let off a foul eye watering smell. Naturally he repressed the urge to gag as he aided his father in the forge , so such smells were common in his youth ; but as he grew older he needed to endure the smell less and less. Luckily his mind was brought back to reality upon hearing zento speak.

"Alright, So. We are going to be heading downtown and we gotta look the part. First, we need to get black leather coats. Get a bandanna to show you're tough. Maybe chew a toothpick or something while you flip a coin. These are some high rollers. You gotta sell this shit kid. All on your tab of course for the two of us. Thank you for the donation. First though, let's get something to eat. My treat." These were the words that had left zento’s maw and graced the white clad samurais ear wells , his upbeat attitude almost masked the fact this mission was riding on hikaru’s wallet.

“Hold on a second there…” he would say in a rather chipper and happy tone , the boy didn't really seem to have any other mode than creepily happy. “...you want food…..its your treat….but on my tab?...am i hearing this right?” a very small throbbing vein would become present on his forehead signifying his annoyance , the nerve of the fast talking silver tongued fiend.

Hikaru would give him a sickly sweet smile before tearing up his own paper and slipping the pieces in his pocket , “tell you what i’ll take you out to eat after the mission ,  so first your clothes and then we go ok?” he would propose wanting them to move on all ready.

The Lost Team: Picking up the Trail - Page 2 Empty Re: The Lost Team: Picking up the Trail

Zento started to walk with his partner. Seeming confused by his offer. "Yes I know where the best places in town to eat and for amazing prices. Information like that is worth it's weight in gold." Zento spoke. He hated the expression though. Words don't really have weight. Meaning it's worthless. Technically like this offer Zento put. But it was less than worthless because the man would definitely loose money on this. Zento started to walk to the location they had to go to. Zento looked around town. His hands resting on the back of his head. Walking like he didn't have a care in the world. Zento scratched the back of his head and turned to his partner. "Alright! So, Here is our stop." Zento said looking at an alley way entrance and one house there. the opening to the house was massive with a garden on one side and different plants on the other. A fence guarding it all and a mailbox with Yuki on it. Zento's house.

Zento started walking to the gate and looked up at his house. The giant cherry blossom tree in the background. This clearly was worth WAY more than his pay as a genin. Zento opened the door. Taking his shoes off and  sizing up his partner. Holding up one finger as he disappeared in a room. From the doorstep the house looked insanely well kept. Books on a bookshelf in a living room with a few seats and a coffee table in front of them. A nice clean kitchen with everything organized. Zento walked out holding old robes. Some with patches on them from different fabric. Tossing it at his partner. "These should make us look the part more." Zento said already in his robe that looked even more like he comes from wealth. The fabric was pure white with a tent of red from the sleeves. Having on the back his clan symbol and Holding his fan. Pointing to the door. "Hurry and get dressed. We have no time to waste!" Zento said kicking his slightly still open door all the way open and stepping outside striking a pose.

He walked out of his house and from the alley way. They were in the downtown district. Home of the market that is down the road that Zento goes to every now and then for some good deals of fruits or vegetables he doesn't have growing. Thinking back and remembering the address they were suppose to go to. Finding a place in the market that caught his eye. Or well, his nose. Zento walked to a stand where someone was grilling up some meat. The seasonings and it being cooked to a perfect temp. He had to have it. Zento looked over at the guy and nudged for him to hand over some cash to the guy. Picking up two sticks with the pieces of meat stuck on it. Taking a bite out of one. It was delicious. Zento was in heaven eating it. Taking more bites before noticing that he had ate both of them. Looking at them confused. Looking like it was a murder investigation and he was piecing all the parts together on what happened.

Finally, Zento let go of the two sticks. Tossing them in a trash can and grabbing two more. Taking a bite out of one and handing the fourth one to his partner. "Dude you gotta try this." Zento said looking at the salesman and pointing with the stick at his genin friend. "He's got the tab." Zento spoke quickly walking away. The man angrily lookin at Hikaru to pay the four things of meat. The price a little expensive but worth it with the taste. Well, maybe not 100 ryo a stick worth. But, hopefully this partner new how to haggle and that this place is all about ripping people off.
