Chuunin Exam: Nekrun vs. Nero

Nero was there. You know, yawning. Waiting. He was standing 5 meters into the 40meter diameter top ring. He did have his dagger in his hand, but was not standing in an aggressice pose. His mimics and gestures would have made it clear to anyone that he had no intention to jump straight into battle. He waited for his opponent to show.

The day had finally arrived, Nekrun was standing straight across from the other genin holding his scythe. Nekrun was the same 5 meters from the ring, making everything in the arena look symmetrical. Nekrun stood on his guard his scythe in hand before addressing his opponent. "I'm Nekrun Uzumaki and I am here to defeat you, what is your name?" As Nekrun said this he would be on his guard to block any attacks that could come his way.

Stats:

Nero's eyes widened up when he realised the scythe his opponent was holding. His chakra extended to cover his body. He could now move at higher speeds, not that anyone could tell by looking at him. Nero started to move towards Nekrun in a slow pace [let's say 25 speed], as he talked, "How about we make a deal? If I win, I get your scythe. If you win, I'll give you anything I own that you'd wish to take. Blood, weapon, knowledge.". Nero, if not stopped by Nekrun, or if not triggered to take another course of action, moved 5 meters towards Nekrun in total, placing him 10 meters from his starting point, and 30 from the edge at Nekrun's direction. Regardless of any answer he got, Nero continued, "Either way, let's start this.".

Nekrun thought of what this man was asking and decided that he could use something from him. Nekrun had a blue-green aura surrounded him. He could feel himself getting stronger almost like he was made of steel. Nekrun made his way forward at a bit faster of a pace than his opponent, [30 speed] Nekrun finally addressed what his opponent had asked and answered knowing exactly what he wanted. "I accept your deal" All this time he was watching for any movements from his opponent in case of a attack. Then Nekrun decided to make the first move. He felt like he was impenetrable but wouldn't falter, because he knew doing so could mean the end of the match. Nekrun, once he was about 20 meters from Nero, if not already attacked by Nero, threw two kunai, one aimed for each shoulder [throwing speed 96, sharpness 50], then lunged forward [40 speed] and, once close enough, attempted to slice off his opponents left leg [sharpness now 78 due to +28 sharpness boost]. If Nekrun saw any movement whatsoever from his opponent to dodge, cast a jutsu, or counterattack he might react differently in my next post. If Nekrun hit he would jump back about 5 meters and watch for any reactions from the Yuki after his attack and react to whatever his opponent might do.

OOC:

Nero simply bowed down a few centimeters so the two kunai would fly over his shoulders. By the time Nekrun took his first step towards him (after throwing the kunai), Nero would be back up again. As Nekrun dashed towards him, Nero waited for Nekrun to be within 10 meters of him; and then took out three Kunai from his pouch, and threw them towards Nekrun at the Uzumaki's stomach level. One would be directed to the middle of his stomach, the other two kunai being directed to Nekrun's sides, a few centimeters off his body; so that they would hit if Nekrun decided to jump out of the way of the kunai instead of taking the hit.

If Nekrun jumped, backward or sideways, Nero would do 3 quick handseals and send an iceball towards Nekrun, fiired so that it would catch Nekrun mid-air.

If Nekrun decided to keep his movement going and attacked Nero with the swing anyway, Nero would simply move out of the way of the swing, and as the no doubt strong swing that was holding the big weapon had to be followed through, giving Nero an opening, Nero would strike Nekrun's open shoulder with the Character Development he was holding in his right hand.

OOC:

Nekrun didn't have time to react to the kunai, they were like lightning going so fast. This made Nekrun think as he ran this guy is fast. Nekrun knew if he found someone this fast then they would be able to dodge his attacks he only thought of a few counters to that when he was planning for the exams. Only the one hit his stomach and he coughed up blood under his mask. But it wouldn't stop him, he was persistent he wouldn't give up his scythe any time soon. Nekrun kept running towards the Yuki, he could still feel the kunai in his stomach and removed it as he continued forward the rest of the 10 meters. Once he got to the yuki the dodge happened as expected and luckily it wasn't far away. The Yuki had only dodged just barely out of the swing, and using the momentum of the swing Nekrun let go of the scythe aiming it at Nero's thigh, by this point it was impossible to dodge because Nero was only a inch away from the blade and it traveled at 96 speed, with 78 sharpness. The blade would hit Nero at least leaving his leg unusable or worse.

OOC:

Whatever the plan Nekrun had was, he wouldn't get to execute it, having taken the kunai Nero threw in the stomach. The kunai would in normal circumstances be enough to cripple the boy, if not kill him, but fortunately, they were in a safe environment where medics could step in quickly. The damage would cause the boy to collapse on the ground, as medics would arrive at the scene to make sure the boy healed without any permanent damage.

If Nekrun somehow managed to move and execute his plan, he still wouldn't dodge Nero's attack to his shoulder, as all Nero would have to do in Nekrun's damaged state would be to move forward to him just enough so the blade of the scythe would miss him, going behind his back, as Nero would also use his unarmed left to push Nekrun's arm (that was holding the scythe) back to slow the swing even further (which would instead, given the strength difference, manage to push back Nekrun's arm, and thus the scythe, completely), to allow Nero to come out being the one whose attack succeeded.

Nekrun fell to the floor, he thought he could endure the hit but it was too much for him Well that dream wasn't long lived at all I guess this is the end till next time I meet this guy Nekrun thought this as he bled from the wound in his stomach. After his back hit the floor he said a few words "well, a deals, a deal" Nekrun was barely audible but he moved the scythe a tiny bit closer to Nero. The medics came out with and decided to do medical jutsu on the scene and not to waste anytime. Nero would probably be gone by the time Nekrun was healed and had left the arena. If Nero took the scythe so be it, otherwise in a very less likely situation Nekrun would take it back.
