The air grew heavy between them as the subject of death and murder was touched upon. They were shinobi and should’ve been accustomed to such a way of life, but nothing can really prepare someone for the cold, harsh reality of taking a life, or having your life taken from you. It is one of those circumstances where one won’t entirely know how they will react until the moment they experience it.

Hikari hated having to bring up a dark topic, but she had merely been answering the younger kunoichi’s inquiry and tried to make a lesson out of such a question. “It’s okay, I understand. You are young and still new to the world of shinobi, so it’s hard to expect you to know the courtesies of conversational topics.” She tried to help brighten and lift the mood with her soft words and light smile, although she couldn’t tell by the silence if her words had any effect on the atmosphere around them. She didn’t have much time to try a different method for a short time later Asami nodded to both of them while echoing their names before she said her farewells and dismissed herself. “Have a great day as well, and I’m sure we will run into each other in the village again.”

After the darker haired girl had departed from the hot springs Hikari felt she should do the same as well in order to continue her training and exploring the rest of the village. “It was a pleasure to see you again too, Yata. Have a great day and I hope to see you around also.” Her light hair swayed with the bob of her head as she bowed in respect to the other shinobi. Then she went into the changing area as before, making sure she had all of her belongings, and dried off before getting changed into her typical ninja attire. Then she made her way down the same path she had taken to reach the springs and headed back to Aryll’s house to pick up Kuro. She wondered briefly as she walked if the springs allowed animals, for if they did she made a mental note to bring Kuro along with her next time. It was too relaxing and peaceful of a place to keep the knowledge of it all to herself and not share it with her best friend
