Day 1
Cole awoke on his bed. He hadn't set an alarm clock as he didn't need one he was up before it had gone off. Today was the day that he was going to set off on a seven day adventure out in the woods. It was his family tradition that once you became a genin you stayed by your self living on the land. You had to survive for seven days and after you was considered a real ninja in the clan. At least that's what his father said. He didn't know if it was true or not, but either way he was ready and excited for it. Cole got up out of bed he was already dressed. He walked over to the chair in his room and grabbed his cloak throwing it over his shoulder. He walked down stairs and his mom was making breakfast for him. She had made him pancakes and sausage some of coles favorites.

Cole sat on the stool at the bar and grabbed a plate and eat till he felt like his belly couldn't hold another bite. Cole leaned back balancing on the stool and rubbed his belly showing his mom that he was full. He then got up and walked over to the fridge a bit sluggish and grabbed the food his mom had help him make the night before. They had put it in a bag and had wrapped each piece of the food in the bag. Cole walked over to his back pack and slid the bag in the back pack. He then slid his boots on and yelled across the room to his mom that he would see her next week. Cole opened the door and walked out.

Out side the house it was a normal day people walking around doing their daily business. Their was people running around caring boxes and other objects back and forth to their jobs. Cole stayed out of the way as he walked across the streets. He knew that a lot of people in the village didn't care for the ninja living in the village, and so cole tried to keep the peace by just going on and staying out of the way. Cole walked across the street and jumped up onto roof of the building across the street. Going by roof top was the fastest way to get around in the village as the streets was pretty busy until sun set. Cole leaped from roof to roof till he saw the village gates just over the next building. He had traveled this way for some time now, and was quit used to the distance and jumps it takes.

When cole got over the building and landed on the ground he was only a few dozens meters from the gates. He walked over to the gates and saw his friend Fred. Cole had met Fred during one of his missions when he had to guard the gate. Fred was a chuunin and cole had saw that he was pretty good. It helped cole sleep better at night knowing that their was ninja as good as Fred watching the gate. Cole walked up and waved to Fred “hows it going” he would say. “not bad” Fred replays “what you doing” he would add as he walked up to cole.

“I'm headed out for a weak to train my father said it was kinda like a coming into you self type thing” cole would explain to Fred. “Got you go ahead and good luck” Fred tells cole as he turns and walks back to his post. Cole walked out the gate, and figured that he might as well get started now. He took off at full sprint to the tree line. Once he got to the tree line cole would jump into the trees. He leaps from tree limb to tree limb making good distance. After about a half hour cole had to stop to catch his breath. His lungs was burning and he was breathing hard. He stood on a branch with his hand pressed against the tree to balance him. He had been going wide open for the full thirty minutes. It was a good work out he was starting to fill it in his legs. After about ten minutes cole had gotten his breath and took off again this time pacing himself like normal. It took him another hour before he made it to the clearing that his father told him about. It was hear that he would train and get stronger. His father had been right it was a good spot plenty of wild life to hunt for food, as well as being big enough that he could run laps around as well.

Cole grabbed the pack that his father helped him pack. It belonged to his father and it didn't really have a bottom to it. He slid his back pack off and laid it up against a tree. He then took his fathers pack and walked a little ways out and reached in pulling out a tent slowly, as to not rip the pack. His father told him that if he ripped the pack bad things would happen. Cole didn't like the sound of it, and he wasn't going to put it to the test either. Cole started to set up the tent putting poles together and sticking them in the ground as well as the spikes to hold them in place. After he got the tent thrown together he walked around the are gathering up good sized rocks and placing them in a circle in front of the tent. To make a fireplace. He then took some limbs and sticks and made a roasting pike to hang over the fire. After finishing cole figured that he might as well get start his training. His father told him that just surviving out here on his own would make him stronger, but he wanted to train as well to make full use of the time no point in just relaxing and hunting the hole time.

Cole walked around the clearing till he found a solid looking limb about foot thick that flatten a little bit on the end. He took his kunai out his knee pouch and smoothed the limb to get ride of knots and lower the chance of a bad splinter. After putting his kunai back in his pouch. Cole then walked up and got into his fighting stance dropping poster. With his knees bent a little for balance and raising his left hand even with his face, but keeping his grip loose by not making a fist. He then took his right hand keeping his hand open and placing it palm down tilted just slightly outward, and keeping his elbow bent a little. Cole then would quickly raise his knee while dropping an elbow at the same time onto the bottom and the top of the tree limb. He did this over and over trying to get the timing right. The attack was a defensive maneuver used to stop attacks it was called the intersection method. After ten or fifteen times coles elbow started to hurt as well as his knee. Cole kept going till he felt the skin break on the limb. The limb held strong just like cole had hopped it would.

Cole knelt down and pulled up his pants leg using the basic medical jutus he had learned before to repair the damage skin on his knee. He then did the same to his elbow after rolling his pants leg back down and tucking it back into his boot. Figuring that he needed to take a break cole went for a run around the clearing. He wanted to clear his head as well as work on his stamina a bit as well. Cole took off and started running at a fast jog getting his traction and a feel for the terrain. After about ten meters he picked up the pace moving at a good sprint and after another ten meters he hit top speed. Cole held his top speed for as long as possible which was about fifty meters before having to slow back down. He refused to come to a complete stop, and instead slowed down to a solid jog again. He could feel his lungs burning and the pain in his side as well as legs. Just breathing was hard, but cole kept going he had to make a lap. He wanted to be able to run around the hole clearing at top speed before he left and he was only going to be here for seven days, so he had to work hard.

After cole made it back around to his tree limb he continued to work on the intersection method jutsu. He was getting the timing right now, but he wanted it to become second nature. That was the key to taijutsu you needed to get to were you body reacted on its own, and you didn't have to think about what was going on. This alone would give him a huge advantage on the battle field. Were most people would have to think in combat cole wanted to make it to were he didn't have to. He wanted to get to the point were his body reacted on its own faster than he could think. He wanted to be able to come up with a plan of attack and then follow through with out thought. Almost as if each of his limbs had a mind of their own that worked to accomplish the same goal, and he thought that this would be the first step in getting to that goal. Cole kept using the jutsu till he got to the point that his skin was about to split again. Except this time he stopped, and counted he had gotten ten more this time than he did last time. Plus unlike last time his timing was spot on every time this time. Cole decided that he should break it up again and walked out into the sun and dropped to the ground chest first catching him self with his hands. He then went straight into push ups. Pushing himself even after his arms started to hurts and his hands going numb. He lost feeling in his toes before he dropped to the ground grasping for air. Sweat dripping off his nose landing on the grass under his face. His hair fallen to one side of him.

Cole gets up his legs and arms shaky from the work out. He walks over to were he had laid his back pack next to a tree and leans against the tree next to it. Just sitting their in the shade was amazing the cool breeze rolling through the clearing. Pulling the smell of the forest with it. Cole heard his stomach growl. He reached over hand still shacking and grabs the back pack pulling it over to him. He unzips the pack and pulls out two sandwich that was wrapped up as well as a rice ball. Biting into the sandwich was possible the greatest thing that had ever happened to him cole thought to himself. He finished the sandwich's and the rice ball then put the trash back in his back pack. He stayed their for a while watching the clouds go by. He would see some that looked like thing from the village and different types of food. He didn't know much about the sky and never really had any reason to learn either, but he sure did like to look up and admire it from time to time. After about an hour cole got up with sun set only a few hours away he figured that he had better get some food for dinner tonight he had only brought the one meal and it was more of a snack than anything.

Cole decided to go and walk through the woods and see if he can find any tracks of some game that he might be able to kill and have for food. After walking in the woods for a few minutes he finds some tracks for a boar. Cole had heard before how dangerous they can be and thought that it would be good training to fight one. He follows the tracks for a good little ways stopping at a small little clearing going into a den. Made out of the bottom of an old rotten tree. The tree was huge and possible back when it was alive could have been the biggest tree in the forest, but now their was no way to know for sure. The tree was dead and their wasn't much left but some limbs that looked like they could fall any minute now. Looking in cole saw that the den was empty the boar was not at home it would seem. He figured that it would be back soon with sunset so close, so cole set up an ambush to the side of the den about five meters from the entrance. He was careful not to disturb anything as to not give the boar any warning to him being their. He just hopped that the boar would come back the way he had planned that way cole would be down wind and the boar wouldn't be able to smell him either.

Cole could hear something coming in the distance, so he focused his chakra into his forearm. He then started to pull the bone sword from the palm of his hand. Swinging it around to face point down while he watched to see the boar come walking into coles sight. With the tip of the bone sword tapping against his elbow. Once the boar had closed distance and was close to the hollowed out lifeless tree. Cole jumped from up on the hill a little ways throwing two shirurakin at the boar. Both landing in the boars side causing the boar to flinch a little ways away from cole. Cole lands about three feet from the boar and charges stabbing at the boar with the bone sword. He pieced the boars hide twice but the boar was able to get out of the way by rolling to the side. It then got up and charged at cole horns drawn up to coles gut. He figured that this would be as good of a time as any to try out the intersection method. The boar charged at top speed and cole dropped down into his fighting stance getting ready for they attack, as the boar closed the distance cole timed the attack just right catching the boars head between coles elbow and knee. He heard the skull of the boar crack, as blood came flowing out of the boars nose. The fight was over the boar was dead and cole was completely fine.

Cole looked around and gathered up some limbs from the near by trees and took some veins from them as well. He then added some leafs to the mix and created a make shift sled. He rolled the boar over on to the sled and picked up they other end dragging the boar on the sled back to his camp. It took a while to make it all the way back to the camp, but cole knew that it would be worth the investment plus it was like training. Once cole got the boar back to the camp he dropped the sled close to the tent. He then walked over and fastened some of the line he had brought with him in his fathers pack. To two of the trees, and hung one from a high limb. He then hung a second from a high limb about ten meters from his tent. That one he figured that he would put the salted meat into that way the wile life couldn't get into it and eat his food. He then drop the sled over to the first set of lines and dropped it off near by. After he pulled out his kunai and slit the boar open from crouch to neck. Pulling back the skin and revealing the meat. Cole then cut out the meat that he would need the boar wasn't to big of a boar but it was bigger than he was and would make for a few good meals. Over the course of the next couple days If everything went well. Cole then worked on taking the skin off of the boar. Once he had cut the skin free he took it over to the near by creak he knew of and went down stream a bit. Their he washed the blood and guts off the best he could and took it back to camp. Were he hung it out to dry on the first line he hung from the two trees. It would take it a few days to dry out completely but once it did it would add some comfort in his tent, as well as help keep it insulated at night.

Once the fur was hanging cole walked on out and laid down in the grass. Looking up at the night sky tracing the stars with his eyes making different designs out of them. He enjoyed this time being left alone to think and ponder the stars and just what was all out their. He didn't think they would ever find out during his life time, but he still liked to look and wounder just what could be. After a while cole would start to get sleepy and move on over to his tent and crash for the night knowing that tomorrow he would have a big day of training ahead of him. He would lay in his tent and think of what jutsu he would learn the next day. He knew he was only going to be out here for seven days and he wanted to make the best of it. By not wasting any days on jutsu that he could learn with ease. He would let the thought of the different jutsu he had planed on learning out here drift through his mind till his eyes fell closed for the night.

Day 2
cole awakes to the sound of the birds chirping in the forest around him. He liked it a lot better than the sound of people rushing around the city. It was more peaceful and natural, and just made him feel better like he wasn't being rushed to go do anything for the first time in his life. He sits up in the tent and grabs his cloak. He had been sleeping in pants since he got to the clearing were he made his camp. Because you can never know what might come walking into you camp, and felt that it was safer to take they precaution than not to. He leaned over and unzipped the tent and reached out grabbing his boots putting one boot on and stepping out and putting they other boot on before getting all the way out of the tent. After he was out cole reached for the sky stretching his back, legs, and arms leaning back a little while doing it. He then walked over to the line he hung from the tree and had putted the salted boar meat he had prepared the night before in. He had salted it so the meat would stay good and hung it in an area in the woods were it would stay cool. He pulled the boar meat down and took out a huge slab of meat he knew he would have to eat the rest of it today or it would go bad with out some were better to put the meat. Even though it was salted it was still out in the weather out side of the bag he had it in which didn't offer much more than keeping the bugs out of it. He walked over and started a fire with the flint and steel he had with him and let the fire get going pretty good, as the fire was building cole walked over to the creak just on the edge of the clearing and filled up his canteen up stream from were he skinned the boar the night before. He then walked back over to the fire and tossed the slab of boar meat on the roasting stick he had prepared above the fire. He then sat and enjoyed the sounds of nature while the meat cooked getting up to turn it over a few times so it would cook evenly. Once the meat was cooked cole would sat down and eat the slab of meat using the roasting stick as a way to hold the meat. He had set a smaller version of what he had for the fire beside the tree stump that he used for a set. Since he didn't have any plates or silver were cole used his fingers to eat the meat. Once he was done he walked back over to the creak and washed his hands off. Returning to his camp after.

Once back to the camp cole started to do his morning work out starting with some laps around the clearing he wanted to work towards his goal of being able to run all the way around it as fast as possible hitting top speed as much as possible. Once he had done a few laps around the building having to slow down a few time more than he would have liked to. In order to catch his breath cole fell forward catching him self just before hitting the ground. Close enough for the grass to tickle his nose, and started to do push ups. Once his arms started to go numb he would roll over and do set ups. Till his abs couldn't' take it any more, and then roll back over for more push ups. He would repeat this till his upper body was sore and tired, and all he could do was lay their. Once this happened he would started to focus his chakra into different parts of his body. He figured that it didn't matter how strong you body was cause it could only get so strong but your chakra could get as strong as any thing else in this world as long as you worked it. Cole would move his chakra around his body focusing it in his feet then moving up to his calfs then thighs and belly and so on. Till it got to his head and then back down to his feet again. He would do this till his chakra was running out. After he would just lay their for about an hour recovering and getting ready for the day thinking about what jutsu he was going to practice today.

After a while cole decides that he will try to learn the daytime tiger jutsu. He knew how it worked he had spent the last few days taking notes and making sure he had the basics for all the jutsu he would be practicing this weak down, but to make sure he packed his note book as well. Cole walked out into the clearing knowing that the day time tiger jutsu was a fairly complex jutsu as taijutsu moves goes. The user focused chakra into their hands and then released it into the air with their punch creating an air wave in the shape of a tiger head. It was really powerful and covered quit a large area as well. Cole looked around for an area were he wouldn't destroy any of the trees or wildlife around. He found that the center of the clearing was the best area for it. He had figured as much, but like his mom always said you never know till you look.

Cole faced away from his camp for the practice session. He figured that just on the off chance that this went bad at least he would still have his camp, and only a few trees or the grass would be destroyed. Cole tucked his fist beside his side and focused his chakra into it. Once he had put what he thought was enough chakra he released it as he threw the punch. A blast of air flew from his fist but it didn't really have any power behind it. Plus if that was a tiger head it was dead cole thought to himself. He tucked his fist back to his side getting ready to try again. Cole didn't have the best chakra control but it wasn't bad at it either. He pulled more chakra into his fist, and this time put more into it. He figured that he would work on getting the tiger head right first, and then work on the power of the jutsu instead of trying for both at the same time. Once cole thought he had enough chakra built into the right shape he threw his punch once more this time the air blast looked more like a tiger, but it was still deformed and cole needed some more work on it. He figured that he would try once more to get the shape right before trying to get the power right. Up to this point they only thing that had happened to anything was the air blast had moved some grass. Cole hadn't been putting enough power into the jutsu to actually do any damage to anything. Cole focused once more pushing chakra into his fist this time though cole decided to throw an odd punch this time releasing his fist in mid swing to raise his index and pinky fingers up. Making the old fashion rock sign that has still survived till this day. This time the air blast was indeed a tiger. Even from this side of the attack cole could clearly see the shape of the tiger. The blast flew out for a few meters before dispersing. Cole was trying to keep it contained as he didn't want to blow anything up. Even though their was no power really in the blast it was good practice for when he started to put power into. Which was the next the step any way in the jutsu cole thought to himself.

Now that he the right shape for the jutsu it was time to add the power to it as well. Cole started by forcing chakra into his fist again he now knew how to get the shape right so that wasn't a problem. Cole forced more chakra into his fist this time a lot more he knew that this jutsu would need a lot of chakra it was more powerful than any jutsu he had tried before. Once he had enough chakra cole threw his punch making the rock sign in mid swing to help form the tiger face. This time as the air blast flew away from cole he could see that some of the grass was being ripped up from the ground and that was about it. It was not enough power for the jutsu, and cole knew it. He would need to add more chakra into the air blast, and he didn't' know how much more. He knew that if he added to much chakra that it would just have the same affect except that their wouldn't be any tiger face, or a jutsu really it would just be a super powered punch that added an air blast to the end of the punch. The air blast would be just that as well on the end of the punch and not really going any further. Cole tucked his fist back beside him and focused more chakra into his fist than last time. This time the attack was more powerful but still not what it was suppose to be at. Cole kept repeating the steps for a few more tries. Until cole finally got it right. This time when he unleashed the blast the tiger face flew out and ripped up about an inch of dirt and grass in the near by area. Cole had threw the blast upward to the sky but still straight ahead as well. Kinda giving it an angle just encase the blast went straight out and hit the trees. Cole didn't want to damage the surrounding area if he could help it. Cole could do they attack though and that was all he needed to know he would need more practice at it to use in combat but he could unleash they attack.

Cole was walking back to his camp to get a sup of water when he heard a noise from out of the clearing. Cole walked over and grabbed his water bottle and drink from it with out ever looking away from the direction that he had heard the sound from. He wanted to know what it was out here it could be anything from a wild animal to a rogue ninja. Cole was out side the gates and anything was possible right now. Cole walked over to the area were he had heard the sound, and went to investigate the sound at the edge of the woods. Cole approached carefully not to startle the creature if it was a creature at all. Cole took it slowly he didn't like not being able to see what was over their. While he knew that if something was over their they could see him with ease. Cole made it to the edge of the woods with out anything happening. Once their cole walks into the woods the pine needles crunching under his feet. At this time of the year the pine needles was every were and their was nothing you could do to not make a noise at least that's what cole thought. How ever it didn't stop cole from trying to walk silently over them. Once in the woods looking around cole found some prints to an animal. Cole was no hunter but the deep impression in the dirt from the print said it was something big. Cole didn't know what left the print but they wasn't trying to hide either, but cole figured that it was not used to having to hide what it was doing. Based on the print alone it was probably one of the biggest creatures in these woods.

Cole decides to follow the prints he needed to know what left them and were they was at. He didn't like that something this big was just hanging around were he slept at night, and he wanted to either move it or kill it. Cole knew that he only had about one more good meal out of the boar that he had killed the day before, so if he could he would kill this and salt and eat it for the next few days as well. Cole knew enough about medical jutsu, and the human body to know just how important protein is to the body. With out it you don't have any strength or energy to do anything and after that point was reached you was as good as dead in the wild. Cole followed the foot prints to the north west of his camp. He was taking it easy and careful not to alert anything in the area that he was their. The prints lead for a good fifty meters before cole came up to river. With a little tracking cole figured that the river is what feed into the creak that he used to drink from and clean his food. Cole then noticed that the prints went into the river and cole lost them. He knew that you couldn't follow tracks in the river. With that cole knew that his hunt was over, but since he had found this river he might as well use it. Cole looked around and found a solid but flexible limb near by. He shaved the limb down with his kunai and then took some wire that he kept on him and made a line on the end of the limb. After he pushed a thin bone out of his hand while molding it into hook. Cole then fastened the hook onto the line, and walked over to one of the trees and pilled back the bark and found a few worms. Cole took a worm off of the tree and stuck it on the hook. Cole tossed the line into the water a few times but never caught anything he saw a few fish but they wasn't biting.

Cole put the fishing pole against a tree were he could find it later if he needed to come back and fish some more. Cole still didn't like that he had no idea what it was that was so near by his camp. He decided to return back to the camp and walk around in the woods and see if he could find more tracks. Once cole had gotten back to were he had first found the tracks. Cole looked around and sure enough he found more tracks of the same, and then he found more, and more, and more. Cole came to the conclusion that this clearing was in the beasts domain, and cole didn't like what that meant for him. Most of the tracks was to the north of the coles camp. Cole knew that he couldn't just keep going as it was the beast had been watching cole. He didn't know if the beast had any intelligence to learn what coles strengths or weaknesses was, but he knew that he couldn't take the chance either. Cole decided that he would make some defenses on the north side of the clearing. He walked over and pulled a folding shovel out of the pack his father had given him. Cole then walked over and started to dig three holes about six feet deep in a circle he then went and walked around the woods grabbing thick limbs and bringing them back over to were he dug the holes and started to carve away the tips into spikes. Cole then stuck the spikes into the ground with the point up and in between the holes to make a bit of a wall in between the holes. Cole feeling better now he returns back to his camp and pulls down the last of the boar and cooks it over the fire. Cole eats the last of the boar meat, and lays down for the night.

Cole was awoken not long into the night to the sound of a beast roar. Cole had went to sleep ready for a fight tonight. He didn't know what would happen and he wasn't ready to sleep with out his gear yet. Cole flew out of his tent and looked out to the roar he had heard. Looking cole saw the beast standing almost ten feet tall probably six hundred pounds easy. It was standing on its hind legs and ripping out the spikes from the ground with strong blows form its claws. It was at this point that cole knew what he was fighting it was a big grizzly bear. Cole reached to his right and grabbed the spear he had made that day. Cole charged spear in hand and jumped before he met the bear. Cole came down and rammed the spear into the bear, but the spear just shattered upon impact, and the bear swatted cole aside like he was nothing. Cole got back up and pulled his bone sword out of his hand and stabbed the bear, but once again cole could not get through the bears fur. The bear flung cole away this time sending cole into a tree, as the bear turned to walk away having shown cole who ran these woods. Cole got up and walked back over to camp pulling out the first aid kit out of his dads pack. Cole had managed to form bone armor under his skin so that the damage was minor. Cole went through and used the basic medical jutsu he had learned a few days ago and closed the small cuts in his chest. Cole then rolled some bandages around his belly and up to his chest over the wound he had gotten. The bear hadn't left a fatal wound and it wouldn't leave a scar either, but cole still wanted to take caution the last thing he needed was to get an infection he knew how to make some antibiotics from the local wild life, but it took time. The wound was still sore even though it was bandaged and the cuts closed up . Cole figured that it was a good time to work on another jutsu he had been wanting to learn for a while, but he just didn't have the chance to try it. Cole lifted his right hand and held his index and bird finger out together. He then focused his chakra into his two fingers they glowed with a greenish blue color. Cole then touched were his cuts once was and the pain still was. His fingers went inside his body for just a sec, but that was all it took for the jutsu to take affect. With the chakra anesthetic jutsu cole was able to numb his body and help the pain to come to an end. Cole then got up and walked over to his tent and laid down for a minute closing his eyes and falling asleep.

Day 3
cole awoke to the sounds of the wild life. Just like he had the first night he stayed here, and then it hit him what he had to do. He needed to do his training and then go and find and kill this bear. He would have a way to kill it this time with day time tiger cole figured that he should be able to kill it. Cole wanted to make sure that he was able to use the day time tiger jutsu while in combat, so cole figured that he would try that after breakfast. Cole walked out into the woods a bit looking for something to kill to eat, he had to get ride of the rest of the boar meat form the salt pile today it was bad now after setting out in the whether for the past 2 days. It didn't take long before cole came up to a couple squirrels in a tree. Cole took out a couple kunai from his pouch and threw them at the squirrels in the tree. The kunai hit the squirrels and knocked them out of the tree they was sitting in. cole walked over to the squirrels and picked them up by their tails. Cole carried the squirrels back to camp were he tossed them next to cole skinning line. Cole took the first squirrel and hung it upside down by the line. It was at this point that cole remembered that his boar fur should be dry by now. Cole walked over and looked at the boar fur and sure enough it had dried out in the bast few days. Cole picked the boar fur up and walked over to his tent pulling his blankets out for a minute and laying the boar fur down fur up on the bottom of the tent. Cole then laid his blanket back on top of the boar fur and then tossed they other blanket back into the tent. Cole walked back over and continued with skinning the two squirrels. After cole had took the meat out he laid the meat on the grilling spike and let it cook while cole went through and continued to skin the rest of the animal. Cole took the furs and walked over to the creak after turning the squirrel meat and cleaned the furs real quick. Returning to turn the meat once more before hanging the furs out to dry for the next couple days. Cole then went and grabbed the meat off of the grill spike and eat the meat before walking back out into the middle of the clearing.

Cole kept an ear out for any sound coming from around the clearing while he did his morning work out. First he wanted to make sure he was good with the day time tiger jutsu. Cole took a running go about ten meters from his tent away from the tent. After he hit top speed cole jumped as high as he could tucking his fist into his side and turning in mid air to were he was facing the ground. Cole then threw the fist out in the punch making his rock sign as he did. The face of a tiger came flying out of coles hand and flew into the ground below cole. The damage was what cole would have expected. The blast of air digging into the ground a solid three feet deep in the shape of a tiger head. Cole figured that, that hole would be their till long after he died right in the middle of this clearing. Cole happy with the way everything turned out. Decides that its time to continue with the morning work out. Cole started with sprints around the clearing like normal. Cole did three laps around with every time he would come around to were he fought the bear the night before cole would go on a full defensive it was hard to concentrate. With every lap because of this cole would slow down breaking his sprint into a jog until he got out of the area and then pick up pace again. Even while cole was running around the clearing he still kept his eye on that side of the clearing not wanting to let any detail slip away with out him noticing. Cole got done with his three laps around the clearing he had managed to get a good work out with it but he didn't' kill himself like he normally does. He held back with out thinking about it at all just encase the bear attacked cole wanted to make sure he was able to defend himself. Cole hated being defenseless. After cole fell for his push ups stopping early just like he did with the run and then rolled over for his sit ups stopping early again. Cole got up not feeling like he really had done a real work out. Cole figured that maybe he should change tactics instead of working on his taijutsu ability today maybe he should try and work on his ninjutsu ability, as it stood at the moment cole had no ninjutsu ability, and having one could help cole with mid range fights and to help close the distance to the enemy. Cole knew that no mater how good you are if you can't close the distance you cant fight. Sometimes all it takes to close the distance is a mid range jutsu and ninjutsu is some of the best you can get for that cole thought to himself.

Cole knew just what ninjutsu he was wanting to practice as well. It was called wind release slash. Cole walked over and opened his back pack and pulled out his note pad. He had studied how to do this jutsu before leaving but ninjutsu was not something that he was very good at. He figured that looking over the notes he had made before leaving wouldn't hurt at all. Cole pulled out his note pad and sat on the tree stump he used for a set and opened the note pad. First page was the intersection method, and the second page was the day time tiger jutsu. After that he had some notes on a few others before coming up to the ninjutsu in question wind release slash. Cole looked over the hand signs he knew that unlike in taijutsu and the little medical he knew hand signs was very important to ninjutsu. This one only required that you make the bird hand sign. That was one of the reasons cole picked this one it only needed one hand sign. He then read over the description he had wrote down for the jutsu. This jutsu worked in one of two ways just depending on what you needed at the time. You could create one giant wind blade or a few smaller ones. Another reason why cole picked this one he was familer with blades and he already had experience in making blades with his own kekkei genkai. Except with this jutsu you made the blades out of wind and not bones like cole would use. Cole thought that he had a good idea on how to do the jutsu, and walked out into the field and faced away from his tent. He still kept an eye on the bear attack location just encase. Cole made the bird hand sign and focused his chakra into his hands pulling wind in. At first it was slow and on they outside you couldn't even tell anything was happening, but cole could feel the wind flowing into his hands. Cole then made the next motion pushing his hands straight out together and then separating them apart from each other. With that motion the blades of wind made their appearance. Except that they was way to small and cole knew that they wouldn't be strong enough to do anything, but cole went with it anyway. He tried to do the next big test and put the blades together for form the big blade of wind. The three wind blades floating in front of cole started to move closer, but as they moved they started to disperse until they was gone. Cole knew that it wouldn't work and he had to try again. He needed this jutsu to add to his collection and he wouldn't quit till he got it down.

Cole made the hand sign again and focused on the chakra once more pulling the wind into his hands as he focused it. Making it sharp and form blades in his mind. Cole then pushed his hands straight ahead once more and spread them out again. Cole then watched as the blades formed in front of cole three of them. They was brighter than last time and this time cole felt they was a lot stronger than the last time as well. Cole started to make the blades roll into each other to form the big blade. The blades didn't disperse this time and rolled into one becoming an even bigger blade of wind. The blade was taller than cole and was bright yellow. Cole could feel the wind coming off of the blades and he could tell they was ready to cut something. Cole sent the blade flying out and aimed for one of the tree stumps that was left about ten feet from the woods on the out side of the clearing. Cole watched as the blade flew and sliced the tree stump straight threw with out any problems. Cole watched as the wind split apart after cutting through the stump and bouncing off the near by trees behind the stump. The wind didn't have enough power left in them to do any damage to the trees. Cole was still not done yet he wanted to practice shooting the smaller blades as well, so once more cole focused his chakra into his hand as he made the hand sign. Pulling air into his fist and pushing his hands straight out in front of him. Then swinging his arms to his sides while staying straight out. Cole could see the blades form as his arms moved to his side. The yellow blades hummed and put off a feint yellow color to them. Cole then fired the first blade followed by the second and third as well. The blades all three hit what was left of the stump slicing threw it in three different locations before dispersing back into just air.

Happy with the outcome cole heads back to his camp and takes a sip of water from his canteen. He then realizes that he will have to deal with that bear and today was the perfect day for it. Cole thinks for a few minutes before coming up with the perfect plan to kill it. It was not hard to think of how to do it when you know your target. They only hard part about it would be finding were the bear was living at. With that cole headed out back to the bear attack location. He figured that their should be tracks their that would lead back to were the bear came from, and cole could follow them and then figure out the best way to set his plan in motion. Once cole got to the attack location it wasn't to hard to find two sets of tracks one was headed to the attack location while another was heading away. Cole knew that the bear was hit a few times nothing to do any real damage to the thing, but enough to drive the bear back to its den to nurse it wounds. Cole followed the tracks leading away, and if all else fell and he got lucky he would walk up on the bears corps, but he knew that was just wishful thinking. He had not wounded the bear enough to kill it. Cole followed the tracks north and a little to the west into the woods. The woods was unusually quit, and it set cole off. He didn't like it at all and he stayed on red alert the hole time not knowing what to expect. The tracks was not hard to follow as the path the bear took was very direct and wide. Cole figured that the bear got hurt more than cole realized and took the easy way back home. It wasn't till cole arrived at a cave leading under ground that cole realized just why the bear had been around his camp so much. The cave were the bear had been living in was just a dozen meters from coles tent. The thing about it that really set cole off was that his father probably knew about it as well. His father probably thought that it would be good training for cole to fight and survive the bear. Cole left making note in his head about the location of the cave. He knew it wouldn't be to hard to find again with it being so close to camp.

Cole walked back over to the river were he had made a fishing pole the day before. He quickly found the fishing pole and tossed the line into the water. Cole noted how clear the water was one could clearly see the fish swimming around as well as other creatures. Were cole was at fishing the water was calm with a small current running south. He could tell that their was rapids up stream and knew that they only thing that one could catch in the rapids would be a stick, or a salmon if one was lucky. Cole fished for about five minutes when he got his first bite. The pole bent but didn't break, and cole pulled back on the pole to fast and the lost his bait the fish got away. Cole went over and pulled some more bark from a tree grabbing a another grub and putting it on the hook. Cole walked back over and cast the line again back in the river. It took around another five minutes before cole got another bite. Except this time he didn't pull to fast he played with the fish for a minute getting the hook set real nice and good in the fish's mouth. Then cole pulled it back up on to the shore. Cole picked up the fish and worked the hook out of its mouth. Then put the pole back up against the tree again and holding the fish by its mouth with coles thumb in the fish's mouth. Cole walked back to his camp, and worked a paper bomb on one side of the fish. Cole kinda felt bad and apologized to the fish before leaving. Cole walked back up to the cave were he had found the bear. Cole laid the fish down in front of the cave about ten feet with the paper bomb facing down. Cole then walked up to the cave side and climbed on top of it. The cave was nestled in a little hill with some rocks. Cole could tell that the cave went down into the earth, and form the entrance was a downward slope, so he knew that from on top of the cave the bear would not be able to smell cole. At least not till he was out side of the cave, but by that point it would be to late and coles trap would be set off.

It didn't take to long before the smell of the fish drew the bear out of the cave. The bear walking on all four up to the fish. Cole could see the wounds the bear had gotten from their fight. Cole had tore some fur from the bears side and chest, as well as got some from its back when cole dived with the spear in hand as well. Cole could also see other scars on the bear that cole couldn't have saw the night before. When he had nothing but the moon light to light the bear. Now though in full day light he saw that this bear had fought probably its hole life defending its home, and now cole was going to kill it. Cole didn't take any joy in ending the life of animals he liked most animals and got along with them as well. How ever cole also understood that he needed to eat and this bear would feed him for the rest of the time he was here if he supplemented with fish as well. Plus this bear started it anyways coming into coles camp and attacking his defenses. The bear closed in on the fish and bent down to pick it up with its mouth, as it got close cole pulled his bone sword from his arm. Once the bears face was close enough cole jumped making the sign to blow the paper bomb from a distance. The bomb blew up in the bears face and the bear raised up on its hind legs screaming in pain. Cole was flying threw the air knowing what the bears reaction would be. The same as anything else that had a bomb blow up in their face. Cole came down on the bear hard with the bone sword in both hands blade down. The blade pierced the bears fur and buried its self to the handle in the bears back. The bear went into a rage with pain slinging cole off of its back by reaching behind it with its giant claw and grabbing cole with its claws. He slung cole against a tree were he hit hard enough to knock the wind out of him. Cole laid their for a few moments catching his breath while the bear screamed in pain with the sword in its back. Cole knew that the sword was already starting to fall apart. The bones weapons didn't last to long once out side of the body, and with another moment or two the sword would be gone. Cole would have to act fast he thought to himself as he stood back up. Cole made the bird hand sign and focused chakra into his hands then pushing them out and spreading his hands out to his side. He created three blades of air “Wind Release: Blade” cole yelled and then forced the three blades to combine into one blade of air. Once they was together and only one huge blade was their cole sent it out to cut the bear. He didn't know what kind of damage the blades would do to the bear but he knew that it was something to get the bears attention. The bone sword had to fade away about that time as the bear regained some of his composer throwing a paw up to block the blade of air. Cole jumped into the air at the bear above the blade and tucked his fist to his side focusing more chakra into his fist this time. The bears paw managed to block most of the blades damage but the bears paw was almost useless now if this fight went on for much longer cole would have to make use of that. Once the bear had blocked the air blade he looked up at cole only to see cole throw a punch into the air while making the classic rock sign. With it the head of a tiger came flying out of coles fist and crashed into the bears entire body. It was more than what the bear could handle with the damage it had already taken. The tiger face crashed the bear into the ground so hard that the bears body left an imprint on the ground. The fight was over and cole had won this one.

Cole walked over after landing and looked at the bear. The paper bomb had blinded the bear in one eye as well as took a chunk off of the bears face. Part of the bears lip was gone revealing the bears sharp teeth. Then their was the damage of the blades of air on the bears paw that he had used to block coles attack. The paw was mangled beyond repair it would have never healed correctly cole noted. He continued his scan of the bear and noted that the day time tiger jutsu had crushed part of the bears skull as well as broke most of the bears ribs as well. Cole felt bad for they old warrior he knew that the bear had fought most of its life and had proven that it was the biggest and baddest in the woods. That is till cole came along any way he thought to himself. Cole then headed back to his camp. Once their he grabbed the sled he had made to pull the boar after he killed it. Cole drug the sled to the bear, and laid it down next to the bear. Cole then rolled the bear over onto the sled and walked around and picked up the handles and started to pull the bear back to camp. Once cole had the bear back to camp he pulled it on over to his make shift skinning area and wrapped the bears feet the rope he had. Cole then walked over and grabbed they other end of the rope pulling with everything he had lifting the bear into the air so cole could skin it.

After cole had skinned the bear he took the bear fur and cleaned it off in the creak like he had with all they others skins. He then hung the fur out to dry next to the squirrels skins he had. Cole checked on them while he was their noting that they should be done tomorrow as long as it didn't rain that was, but it didn't look like their was any rain on its way in. cole knew how the whether could be sometimes, but he felt strong about it this time. Cole walked over and threw some of the bear meat on the roasting stick he had made and let it cook while he put the rest in the salt bag he had he would return to turn the meat a few times till it was done. Once done cole set and eat the meat before getting into his tent and going to sleep for the night.
