Backstory: Legends tell of a young god whose mother made each and every thing on the planet swear not to harm him, causing the boy to become completely immortal, to all but the humble mistletoe, who could never hurt a fly. 

A trickster fashioned this spear out of mistletoe and tricked the immortal god's brother into throwing it at him during their annual game of "Throw things at the guy who can't be hurt by any weapon." 

The results were about as good as one could expect.
