Nan waited to hear the sound of the elevator door closing. He figured that was Hikari leaving, and left the room. To be safe, he retained the downtrodden expression until he had walked around for a little bit. He was making sure she wasn't there. Once verified, he went to the fridge and grabbed a beer, before heading back to the movie room to decide what to watch. He had awhile until the bars were active. Maybe it was time to give Ran a go for her money?

He would figure the sound of the elevator was Hikari leaving to go home? He would very much incorrect. Or at least, that wouldn’t be the elevator sound he did here. Valen had his orders from his leader, he was required to track down the missing ninja in this hotel. Sightings had been reported, and a check with the security in charge of the establishment showed the boy with the exact appearance staying in this room. The crimson garbed shinobi would have his chakra suppressed before even arriving at the hotel. Preferring to make sure he couldn’t be detected in cases like this so the target didn’t get jumpy. He would move out of the elevator, pocketing the master key they gave him to operate it and into the room in question, golden eyes flashing in the light.  Where he would find a man with the exact description of his target. He would be walking out of a room, off to the side of the main one. 


“Don’t move.” He would start, his hand resting on his blade, headband gleaming in the light of the room. He would move closer, less than a meter, easily within sword swing range. “You were sighted coming into the village with a man who attacked one of our genin. I know because I cut him down in the process myself.” He would continue, hand never moving from his sword. “I have orders to bring you in to question you about your relationship with the man. If you come willingly things should be easier. If you resist I will take it as an act of aggression and cut you down now.” He would say, before holding up his off hand in a non threatening manner. “I promise, I will not hurt you if you come with me now simply  touch my shoulder and. I will teleport us to Hogokage-Sama, who will do the questioning.” He would say before waiting for the persons answer.


He didn’t move any closer, he didn’t know what kind of traps were in the room. He would let the man make his own choice. If he came to Valen the dark prince of hoshi would simply move through the hand seals for his teleportation at his max speed before teleporting them away in a flash of light. If he tried to move anywhere else, Valen would move move immediately to draw his sword at his fastest possible speed, aiming for leg. He would try to cut it just below the knee, he wouldn’t be able to escape then.

Ciel was considering how he would tackle the rest of the night. Sticking around as Nan while hitting up bars would probably not be the best of ideas. There was the small chance that Hikari would be around them. Easy solution, become someone else. It had been awhile since he gave Ran a run for her money, so hey. Besides, Ran was the most outgoing of his personas. It would be a nice change of pace from the quiet, self conscious Nan.

So what was the plan of attack. First, make sure Hikari was not in the building still. That would be easy enough, if she was not still in this room, she would have left the building. She was too self conscious to go to the bath house, and probably much too middle class to afford the restaurant. Plus, and he was mostly guessing here, she did not seem to be the type to drink alcohol, so she probably had one hell of a hangover.

So first things first, make sure she was not still in the room. Next job: get out of the building. Then grab a new form and go hit up some bars. He still had the small hotel room rented on the other side of town, he could take whoever there if it worked out better.

Of course all these plans changed when there was someone still in the room.

It was not Hikari.

Nan had no idea who this was.

His arms shot up at the words "Don't move".

"I'll- will not resist, but I've already talked with someone!" He said as he slowly move his arm to grab the shoulder of the one talking at him.
