A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only] Empty A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only]

Mon Jun 12, 2017 5:56 pm
Tsuki released a sigh as she sat herself on a nearby bench. Today had been another hectic day of learning for her, and she was ready to go home and sleep. She hated studying more than she hated losing in battles.

Instead of reading books, she'd rather barbarically smash them over the head of that boy that flirts with her in class. If only she could kill half the kids who annoyed her in the academy, she would find reason to enjoy school.

Even still, there were some parts of the Academy she enjoyed. For instance, when it was lunch time and the kids were free to roam around as they wished, Tsuki would come to the pond and rest. There she sat on her bench, underneath a tree, and watched the ducks that floated by. Sometimes she would feed the ducks, and giggle as they tried to fight for their own servings.

She was at her most peaceful when she was here, but it was the only thing she truly enjoyed about the Academy.

A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only] Empty Re: A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only]

The academy was a tough ordeal for Nagata, specially because of that life-threatening and literally deadly sensei and his teaching methods. It was a continuously stressful ordeal to learn from him. He had a way of putting his students in life threatening situations to teach them jutsu. Sure, it worked like a charm but people did get seriously injured. Some may even have died in the past, who knew? That sorta thing was surely possible in the blood mist village.

After having another near death experience, Nagata had decided to calm himself a bit. Get close to nature, laze around a bit and enjoy his beloved sugar free coke. He was sitting atop a tree branch for a little while now, leaning against the tree and mostly hidden among the leaves. The birds chirping around him and going about their way of life. Nature had a way of relaxing him. He retrieved a can of the non-sugary liquid from his pocket and opened it, sipping slowly and enjoying the flavor. The cold liquid going down his throat, it felt sublime. One would be amazed at his amount of in-take of these things.

The white haired, white scarf wearing hyuuga had been there for a little while. When he heard an audible sigh, slightly tilting his head he caught sight of his older sister sitting on the under the tree. ”Rough day, Onesan?”, he said loud enough for her to hear.

Fun fact about Nagata was, that he didn’t know the appropriate jutsu that would enable him to simply walk up that tree and sit there. Thereby implying, he had no easy way of getting back down either. He had climbed that tree after quite a bit of effort, using his kunais as leverage and foot holds. The good thing was, it wasn’t too high. So, he could sit on the tree branch and pretend to be all cool like while deep down inside, he was clueless about how he was going to get down from there.

Well, at least his older sister was there. So now, things weren’t too bad. Were they?

A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only] Empty Re: A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only]

Mon Jun 12, 2017 9:21 pm

Things had definitely taken a turn for the worse, but not how one would necessarily expect it, and as a result Nōet found himself as an outsider looking in trying to find the right mindset to approach the matter of his concern. Having graduated Kirigakure's academy earlier on in the year alongside his "twin", Nōet had been left with more time on his hands than he truly knew what to do with. On one hand his time could be spent investing in the diplomatic aspect of his father's clan, much like his brother Mao was typically caught up in with upholding the legacy of the "Red Hawk", but then again he was nothing like either of them or any of his siblings for that matter. Thus, the other hand was chosen, one that grasped the reigns of his own path being led by his hearts desires. As of this day, laying on the soft earthen ground surrounded and immersed in nature simply staring up at the passing clouds, this was just enough to fill his hearts content.

"Huh?" Vocalizing his confusion, Nōet sat up rather abruptly in reaction to a series of chirping off in the distance.

It wasn't necessarily the sound of the birds that has risen Nōet, no this was something he rather invited, but instead a disturbance in an unseen force had been the cause. Assurance that his mind wasn't failing him came in the form of a small bird landing a top his dreads, its head digging amongst Nōet's dreads before coming up with one within its beak. A deep chuckle escaped the young shinobi as he lightly grasped it in his hands before rising to his full height.

"Although they may look like it, my locks aren't worms little one... Let's get you back to your parents..." Nōet spoke with his head on a swivel as he looked for a heading, yet no sooner had he did the bird started to chirp once more.

Listening intently, Nōet offered a simple "Ok" as if he could understand the bird before trekking forward. Most wouldn't understand the connection that he had with nature, there was no doubt in his mind that his siblings found it odd that he would rather hold a conversation with wildlife as opposed to a human being, but he neither cared nor paid it any mind until the day that it would be brought to his attention. The buzzing of insects and the loud croak of a bullfrog indicated that there was water near, but to the knowledge of Nōet's senses there was no sound of rushing water, that is until the sight of the pond came into view.

Accompanying the still body of water was a notably sized tree and at its first sight little bird flew off ahead of Nōet quickly becoming lost in a sea of leaves and allowing his focus to be shifted to the female individual at its base. A voice from above was familiar to his ears, but it wasn't until he stopped just three meters from the base of the tree did he realize who it had been.

"Tsuki..." Nōet would say whilst rummaging through his inner jacket pocket. "Nagata..." He would say upon finding the treat that brought just as much joy to the young shinobi's life as being in the presence of his family, Gummy Bears. Three were chosen at random, two of which were sent heading toward his siblings

"Hmph... Blue Coconut?... Someone must be troubled..." He'd say in between chews looking from the base of the tree where Tsuki sat and up on the branch where Nagata was perched.

A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only] Empty Re: A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only]

Tsuki was so deep in thought that she was startled when someone spoke. She played it cool, though, and simply looked above her to see who it was. The voice was familiar, but very strange considering the place where it came from.

Atop a branch of the tree sat Nagata, her younger brother.

Tsuki stared at him for a little bit, not believing what she was seeing. Her 8 year old family member was up a tree, which frankly didn't seem climbable before. She didn't remember him knowing the tree climbing technique before, so maybe he climbed it on his own?

The first thought that came to her mind was if he harmed himself getting up there. However, she quickly pushed that thought down the minute it came up. If he hurt himself going up, good. It'd be better for him to learn from the pain.

Although, there was something she still wanted to know.

"Nagata?" she called out to her baby brother, ignoring his question to her for the moment. "How did you get up there?"

Just as she asked that question, someone else appeared near the tree. This time it was her older brother, Nōet.

She noticed how he pulled out a pack of gummy bears and tossed one bear over to her. Tsuki caught it and immediately chewed it. She hadn't eaten since lunch began, so she savored this meal.

To what Nōet said next, Tsuki raised a brow. "I don't know what you mean," she answered him, referring to the blue coconut bit, "But you're not too far off... The academy troubles me alright!"

She stretched her arms and yawned, showing just how tired she really was. "The boys are annoying," she complained, "And the classes are boring. I'd much rather fight than recite another ridiculous distance formula."

A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only] Empty Re: A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only]

Tue Jun 13, 2017 7:40 am
While Nagata enjoyed his cold diet coke, a little bird appeared from behind him, sat on his shoulder and then jumped above disappearing among the leaves. The little critter was probably heading to its home. He smiled a little, seeing that the bird returned to its home safely. His attention was then diverted to his sister, who had asked him quite the logical question. It was evident that she was clearly aware that he didn’t know the appropriate jutsu to get up there. So it was odd for him to be up there in the first place. He turned his head downwards, so he could see his older sister as he spoke to her. Not looking at her and speaking to her would’ve been rude.

”Well you know, I hugged the tree with a bunch of kunai”, he said as he smiled awkwardly. Then he took another sip from his beloved non-sugary delight.

He did not have a logical purpose for being up there. It’s not like he was bullied and had to run from others so he decided to climb the tree. Sure, he was small and fragile and probably defenseless, he wasn’t bullied. Mostly because the other children knew about his older siblings also being in the academy. Who would want to pick a fight with a little Hyuuga which would lead to a fight with a ton of big hyuuga?

Upon completion of his explanation, another older hyuuga sibling entered the scene. ”Yo, Nōet Nii-san”, he replied to his older brother with a smile and waved at him. As if he hadn’t seen him for ages, where in fact he had just seen him this morning. He was well aware what came with the arrival of Noet Nii-san: a gummy bear. The gummy bear made its way to Nagata’s hand and he observed it for a little bit. You never knew which one you would get. Mostly, it depended on Nii-san’s mood and his perception of people. Nagata did enjoy diet coke but that didn’t mean he hated sweets or anything. So he threw the gummy bear into his mouth, chewing it as he enjoyed the flavor. Which one was it though?

While the older siblings conversed, he kept his ears open but remained quiet. He was simply busy with the gummy bear flavor and then he carelessly continued drinking his beverage. Without a care in the world.

Regardless of the flavor of the gummy bear in his mouth, the real question remained. Why actually had Nagata gotten up that darn tree? Well, you know, it felt cool. Isn’t that how heroes made their entrance in a scene? Like the cool and calm, samurai kind of warriors. Resting atop a tree branch, carelessly staring into the distance? At least that’s how manga depicted them. So he decided to test it out and now, there he was. Enjoying the view and causing slight trouble for his older siblings. Oh what fun!

A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only] Empty Re: A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only]

Wed Jun 14, 2017 6:21 pm

Having been raised outside of the traditional village system the thought of a life as a shinobi had never crossed Nōet's mind, his mother instilling in him a different perspective on life wherein hard work and dedication were held to a higher degree than natural born talent. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard... even in the wake of her death her words continued to echo within her son's subconscious, so long as the embodiment of her ideals lived on he knew that he would never be without her. Nōet's sights had been set on Nagata and although his eyes may not be as special as those to come who stem from their father's lineage, he was still able to deduce an answer to the ever present question of: How did he come to get up there?.. Around the trunk of the tree signs of bark removal were indicated by streaks moving horizontally up toward the boys current location, this had been his tell, even so, the question that brought somewhat of smirk to the corners of Nōet's mouth was: How at his age?..

One, if not the youngest of "Red Hawk's" children, Nagata though stemming from a diffrent mother gave hope to his ideals. Much time would be invested in the boys development in the future, but the instincts of a big brother kicked in at the mention of Tsuki's troubles, thus shifting Nōet's attention once again.

"Dearest sister... You do realize who our father is, right?..." Although rhetorically asked, Nōet gave the momentary silence its full value to emphasize the truth behind what he had said and what was to come next, his eyes now straining to see across the stretch of the pond.

"The boys will never stay at rest with your beauty... Clearly, father's tantalizing traits and charm were passed down to you whether you like it out, but that shouldn't hinder nor make your education any less enjoyable..." Nōet said with a matter-of-fact tone, although rounding off with a bit of a chuckle before walking toward then off and on to the pond, a slight pivot turned him round facing his siblings once again.

"So, why not have a bit it fun with it, huh?.. Lure them near the waters edge, ya know?.. Mix in a smoke bomb or two and voila!.. Once they hit the water they'll be like crabs in a barrel, only the strongest will survive and less competition for you all in the end!.." Nōet's voice taking on a more sinister tone as he instructed his younger sibling.

At work within his body a trifecta of forces coexisted within Nōet: the physical, the spiritual, and the natural. Although each held their own purpose, for the act of walking on water his spiritual energies were summoned forth not so much that it became visible to the naked eye, but instead just enough that with it focused to the soles of his feet it permeated through the lining of his militaristic boots and acted as a membrane between himself and the surface of the water. Suimen Hokō no Gyō | Water Surface Walking Practice or in other words the Walk on Water Technique, was a generalized skill that had been taught by their father to Nōet in hopes of providing a deeper sense of focus during his "fits of rage", and although now was not an instance of such, in the back of his mind the ideals were present as he defied the natural order of the world with a display of the control that was exerted over his chakra. Overtime the skill had become second nature to Nōet, yet in the beginning he could reflect on a time when even he struggled and as a result needed to resort to bringing both hands together in the form of the Tiger hand seal. Father hated such a nuisance, and he would not be the cause for his disappointment.

"This technique... You've learned of it by now, correct?.." Nōet questioned Tsuki. His expectations were that by this point, nearing the end of her days at the academy, either their father or a teacher at the academy should have presented them with the challenge of learning it. If not then he would be forced to take it upon himself as their elder to teach it.

"As for you Nagata... Another method to getting up there in the event that you are without the aid of a shinobi tool is to simply walk, ya know?..." Another question rhetorically asked, although this time with a bit if a smile at unearthing his brother's talents. "Although slightly more difficult to master as opposed to climbing a tree due to having to constantly emit your chakra and then adjust in real time the weight differentiation that may occur, once you get the hang of this you'll notice how easily other acts of controlling your chakra become... " He finished saying before walking back toward the ponds edge.

Just as one could walk on water, so to could they climb the sides of buildings and walls and even up the trunk of the occasional tree, all of which a product of exercising control not only of oneself, but also of their chakra. The study of chakra in all of its forms had become something of a hobby for Nōet, so long as he was around he'd share bits of his knowledge if it meant aiding his family. He was after all, his brother's and sister's keeper, protector, and teacher.

A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only] Empty Re: A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only]

Tsuki heard her younger brother's answer her and released a small "humph." It was impressive that he could climb the tree with mere kunais, but it was also very reckless. Chances of him getting hurt were far greater, and getting back down was probably even more dangerous.

Tsuki knew her brother's antics and way of thinking, so she was certain that she couldn't stop him from climbing up trees, but she could at least teach him how to climb it rightly.

Her other brother, Nōet, gave some fair points when he spoke of her problems. Listening to him, she realized that some of her looks came from her father, but mostly her mother too. When one molded two good looking people together, what came after was a product of true beauty. Even still, that did not garner little kids to nip at said beauty like fish to a baiting line.

When Nōet gave Tsuki an idea for how she could get back at the boys, a devious smile played on her face. Much like her two brothers, she could be very mischievous if she wanted. Tricking the boys into the water, then exploding them with a bomb (didn't necessarily have to be a smoke bomb) was very enticing to her.

To her brother's question of whether Tsuki learned the walk on water technique, she merely nodded. She had learned this from a teacher as one of her assignments. Since her control of chakra was impressive, she immediately picked up on the technique. Surface walking, as well as substitution technique, was nothing but a stroll in the park to her.

Tsuki allowed Nōet to lecture Nagata on the tree climbing technique, then she added her own input. "He's right you know," she said to her younger brother.

She leaned back on the bench and stretched her neck up to look at Nagata. "It's about time you learn this anyway. Pull chakra to your feet and imagine you have sticky gum on them, or something." When she spoke, her voice was very nonchalant, as if what she was asking was the simplest thing to do. "When you get that feeling, step on the tree and walk down from it... It may be hard to get at first, but keep practicing and you'll be able to do it like it's second nature."

A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only] Empty Re: A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only]

His older sister didn’t say much to his explanation. Probably, unimpressed with his choice of words. Nagata would hate to be on her bad side though. The cute looking red haired hyuuga could be a monster, which could prove fatal. But besides being scary, he didn’t want to be on the bad side of any of his siblings. Because well, they were family. As Noet Ni-saan explained the science of the beauty that Tsuki Onesan was. Nagata nodded in approval, completely agreeing with the explanation. Simply because one beautiful man plus one beautiful woman would lead to a twice as beautiful lady, logical right? May be not scientific but definitely logical.

He sipped through the remnants of his diet coke as his older siblings planned some unfortunate events for those who chose to mess with the red haired hyuuga. They could just find the bums and beat them to a bloody pulp. At least things would be more easier that way. But it might give others a reason to pick a beef with them. One thing may lead to another and who knows, it might turn out to be an all out war? So may be the thing that Nagata had in mind wasn’t the best of ideas. ”That’s a good strategy. If the pond you’re standing on is deep enough. You could just stand there and watch them. Disappearing into the dark deep waters, struggling to breathe and swim. With the realization hitting them as they would exercise their futile efforts. I could probably watch that too, with some popcorn and diet coke of course.” With a smile and pleasant expression, he added his twisted piece to the situation.

When addressed, Nagata would turn his eyes towards Nii-san. And listen intently to his explanation. Besides using Kunai to trek trees, there was another way to climb them. Actually, another way to climb any vertical surface or even walk on water. The jutsu, as the older sibling explained it, required fine control of chakra. When Noet Nii-san concluded, Tsuki Onesan added her piece of advice and Nagata listened to it as well. She offered a more simplified version of the thing. It was quite evident from their explanation, that the two of them cared for their little brother.

That realization felt good, made him all warm and fuzzy inside. He finished his diet coke and stood on the branch he had been sitting. The width of the branch was enough to allow him to easily stand on it; regardless of how he stood on it. Then Nagata turned towards the tree and gulped down the final drops of his diet coke. He had to get down here and besides jumping and probably breaking a bone, this was the only other way. The older siblings had explained it, Noet Nii-san had visually displayed it. There was only one thing to do: try it.

The technique required him to channel his chakra under his feet, in a way that it would balance off the force that would otherwise pull him downwards, towards the ground. For water walking, that would be a bit more complex, as his brother had said. Regardless, he cleared his mind, put away the empty diet coke can and raised his right foot; placing it on the tree. To emphasize more on the focus, and to look cool, he had his eyes closed and he had this intense expression on his face. After assuming that his foot held on firmly on the tree, he began to lift his left foot so he could place it on the tree too. However, that went badly as he slipped and fell on the branch he was standing on. ”Oops.. owww!!”, it was not a pleasant experience. But he was trying the thing for the first time, it took some practice. Undeterred by his embarrassing failure, the young hyuuga repeated the same thing again. This time, held on a little and actually stood tangential to the vertical tree. With his feet planted on the side of the tree, before falling again once more. This time, not landing on his back but rather on his side. That would imply, it was going to hurt the next morning. Regardless, it was better than falling off of the tree.

As they say, the third time’s the charm so he did not stop. He planted his feet again on the tree and this stood firmly. After making sure that he could stand, he raised his feet and slowly, painfully slowly, began walking down the tree. Though, it took some painful effort, he managed to walk down the tree he had climbed using kunai.

Finally standing on the ground, he nodded his head, ”Finally! I did it!”. He announced the obvious outcome, as he raised both his arms in the air. As if declaring a wrestling match victory against the world heavyweight champion.

A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only] Empty Re: A Nice Day for Training [Private/Invite Only]

Fri Jun 16, 2017 9:16 pm

Having set foot back upon the spongy soil of the bank of the pond, which now was at his back, Nōet felt a deeper sense of peace with the planet's natural earth beneath him as opposed to the shifting nature of the water. A testament to both his innate nature and the elemental nature he would come to represent through an even greater display of control of his chakra. Although, such thoughts came secondary to those which weighed heavier on his mind... The academy was slacking, failing the Mizukage and the village he presided over, and ultimately resulting in breeding a weaker generation of shinobi all together... Nōet's brothers and sisters would not fall victim to such negligence, he knew there was fault to be owned up to by someone, and to whatever lengths that he'd have to reach he made a silent vow to do just that... Having been so caught up in himself the boy hadn't realized that his fists were clenched tight and had begun to shake, even his little brother's first two attempts had been missed.

Subconsciously, as all eyes were on Nagata and in the meantime Nōet crept forward thrice in succession closing the distance between himself and Tsuki. There was something off about him whether it have been the extension to his dreadlocks or the grey pigment surrounding his eyes, an even more expressionless expression than usual rested on the boys face, yet all actions and physical traits went absent as hopes were set on Nagata's second attempt ending in success. It did not, but due to the sound of what was presumed to have been a rather painful impact the veil of fog that shrouded Nōet's mind was lifted...  And then, just like that, he was conscious of the world around him... Even worse, what had gone unnoticed by the others.

What was I?.. No.. No, not my sister.. Them...

Collapsing back, freefall left the brownish orange locs defying gravity as it would appear Nōet had been struck by some invisible force. With his height and the distance traveled forward prior to falling Nōet was on course to having two thirds of his body submerged under the surface of the pond. Nagata reveled  in his own success upon coming down from the tree, but so as he did also so did a veil of dust and water erupt forth as Nōet made a half aquatic impact in his normal form once more. How long his torso on up would remain underwater was dependent on who would come to his aid first. The approach he was taking was reminiscent of his father's training regime, thus no matter who it was all in attendance would take something away from it.

Ram, Snake, Tiger... In the momentary lapse of sight caused by Nōet's fall the hand seals had been weaved through and the switch had been made. The doppelganger mirrored its creators lack of movement and flat posture where he had previously laid, he himself waded beneath the water's surface in the torso of the illusion he cast simply holding his breath and biding his time. Although labeled as the clone technique, it was far from a carbon copy of the original, in fact what bothered Nōet worse than the misnomer of the technique's name was the subtle hints that if gone unnoticed would deceive even the strongest of enemies. This use of the art of deception required preparation, time, and  motive which Nōet had little of either with the exception of motive. The love his family had for one another, specifically for him at the moment, could in fact turnout to be the veil that shrouded either of their judgements allowing what was to come next.

Tsuki's eyes were on Nōet until she heard a thump behind her, and Nagata howl  'owww'. The sisterly part of her made her turn automatically to check if Nagata was alright. Thankfully, he hadn't fallen off the tree, just onto the branch he stood on.

She continued watching her younger practice surface walking. With each time he fell, Tsuki found herself cringing and looking away out of fear. If Nagata fell, she would definitely need to be there to help him.

Luckily, he didn't, but learned the technique effectively enough to safely walk off. Tsuki felt an ocean of relief wash over her when he succeeded, as well as a bit of pride. She didn't know what she would do if she had to take him to the infirmary.

When Nagata celebrated his success, Tsuki clapped her hands. "Congrats little man," she said in a mocking, yet cheery tone. She wanted to say more, but was suddenly silenced when she heard a large splash from behind her.

She turned slowly to see what had happened, only to realize that her elder brother wasn't there anymore. "Nōet?" she called out, and noticed the bubbles coming up from the water.

Was this one of those moments where her brother decided to do something completely random, like go for a swim? There was no way he was actually dumb enough to fall into the water, right?

Tsuki shook her head and stood up. She walked over to the lake to see if her brother was okay. He didn't come to the surface, but stayed underneath for some odd reason.

Confused, she turned her head to Nagata as if he had anymore understanding of what was going on than she did. "You think he's alive?" she asked her younger brother.

Glancing further into the pond, she finally noticed his figure. Thinking that something was wrong, she called out to him. "Nōet! Are you alright?"
