Re: Cowl of Nocturnal [IO]

Miyamoto was already in position as Ayato seemed to be trailing someone. Waiting near the top of the temple laying down so he could keep a birds eye view of the area. While keeping completely still Miyamoto breathed calmly as he remembered exactly what Ayato had said concerning the capture of the thief. All he had to do was use what he learned about the added weight technique to stop the thief from escaping. It was easy, all he had to do was execute a move he has had no formal training in whatsoever besides having it done to him. When Ayato finally called out using his seal technique saying that the robin was in the nest, Miyamoto was perplexed. He never saw anyone move into the temple, and as he stood up it was like Ayato was right beside him yelling at him to move in.
Miyamoto hopped off the roof as he activated the Hiding like a mole technique just as he hit the ground. The sensation was like falling into a pool of water, and as soon as he did he kept an eye on the chakra signatures in the temple. Making a quick decision he reached up to grab the one signature that was not Ayato’s as he activated the added weight technique for the first time, pouring as much chakra as he could into his hand as he breached the surface. He grasped what felt like the ankle of the thief before emerging fully to see Ayato finish the takedown. A few moments later and after sorting through the thief’s effects Ayato announced that the team could make the arrest now. Miyamoto looked outside to see house lights begin to come on.
“We better get a move on, villagers waking up and such.” Miyamoto said as he waited for his team, he was excited he was able to finally execute the technique he had been working on for some time now.

Shouhei hadn’t expected his evening and his first mission in a while with Ayato to be like this. Even with this psychic connection to conceal any leering into their conversation, he still didn’t follow his plan of going directly to the temple, but lead his eyes along the road with Shouhei somewhere in the back as rear guard. Not by orders, but mostly because Shouhei couldn’t let Ayato go out there by himself. A far bit behind him – Shouhei did after all have a problem with suppressing his chakra – but still there with his killer whale technique active to get a lay of his surroundings. One could almost say he had better vision than his rival’s eyes. Well, except for the power drain and radius of it. Oh wait, he couldn’t look through objects either. Scratch that.
At least there was a consolation price with going off the patch that Ayato found their target, and made some connection to them and the inn they have just visited. Shouhei wanting to be useful started to take notes writing it down on a piece of paper, and held a piece of paper against that mark in the wood to sketch it over. Both would make a good edition for the report they eventually would have to give when the mission was over and completed. As an aside, it was interesting to see how the sketch formed on the paper and how it showed on the surface with this radar vision of his. Like Shouhei could literally see how thick it was on the paper instead of it looking like it was one with it.
Shouhei looked back up then stretched out to feel his surroundings with chakra and it would appear that he may have taken a second too much as Ayato was already gone. He could just be suppressing his chakra but Shouhei couldn’t detect him with the killer whale technique either. Well there was no reason to admit he had done a bad job at stalking him, so instead he went with the plan as he was supposed to and sprinted to get into position. Fortunately, he wasn’t as slow as he used to be, so he was able to get into position by the temple before the action started.
Hiding behind a corner a bit way away from their target since he still had the issue of not being able to hide his chakra. He still had a clear line of vision to Ayato and the small fist fight they had, however. Shouhei kept a vigilant eye on it in case he had to step in or cut the man off in case he fled. Now Shouhei wasn’t completely stoic as he observed for when Ayato got cut and spilled blood, he flinched from the details that went to his brain thanks to the killer whale technique. He made a note that he needed to desensitize himself to this in the future. However, in the end it appeared that Shouhei’s help wasn’t needed for now.
“Well that was easy.” Shouhei noted slight deadpan sometimes after Ayato’s words. “Though it’s weird he all of sudden wouldn’t use any illusion techniques against us when that was his go to m.o. before.” He would let the others things of that what they would, then preceded to the debriefing they would have to do at the mission office.
