What happened here?

Mitsui would be looking around the village again. The place had nice people, the cooking was good, there was a lot of land that Sunagakure had, the village was still considered major even though now nobody would call this village major if they looked. Mitsui thought that he would need to discuss with the Kazekage about some possible improvements to the village. Mitsui would walk around looking for the kage to see if he could talk to him. Mitsui would find the building with the kage office and he had hoped that there would be someone here to talk to. Mitsui would walk in and see that sadly the place was empty. Mitsui would proceed to walk a bit longer around, many signs of the fact that nobody has come here for a really long time would be showing. Many signs such as cobwebs, a stink coming from the sinks in the bathrooms because water is no longer in there, Rust was covering the door hinges and door knob, in general, the place was clearly abandoned. Mitsui did not see a condemned sign which is put on buildings when they were about to be torn down. Mitsui would push the door open and he then coughed on the dust that was disturbed. Mitsui would look and see that nobody was sitting on that seat. Mitsui would walk across the floor to the desk. Mitsui would see that there was a few un filed documents so he would look to see any dates. Mitsui was surprised. The place was abandoned long ago. Mitsui realized that this place clearly has no leader ship and Mitsui thought that for both the good of the village and for Mitsui's benefit, that he should take leadership of this major village. Mitsui thought that the place could return to the greatness it once had if he took over because he could unite the people and he could live a life of luxury. Mitsui thought that he would be able to become very powerful with the people united with him. When that happens, many villages or countries get very strong. Mitsui knew that he had to take charge and unite the people first. Mitsui thought that if he helped this village a bit, then the village would be able to make a very strong recovery but first, Mitsui has to take charge. Mitsui would leave the building quietly to return to his hotel room to plan what he would do.
