Kasai training number two Empty Kasai training number two

Sun Sep 07, 2014 8:36 am
Kasai stared blankly at the ground of the forest floor, watching the shadows of the leaves blow in the wind. His world was changed. Finally, now a part of a team, and had meaning. Now, the world would change.
Yet, for that to happen, he too must change. Destroying himself every day through training, and then building up again while he rested, he felt that soon, he would be stronger, faster, wiser. Soon, the title of Shinobi would not be a stretch, but simply given.
Now, his life would truly begin.
He closed his eyes. Feeling his body relax, he felt the chakra begin to flow inside him. For fire, he built the force up in his chest, but for this, he pushed the energy down to his feet. He brought his arms up, and positioned his hands in a meditative figure, resting one palm in the other, and leaving the thumbs only a leaf distance apart. Slowly, the force built up. He felt his feet radiating the energy within himself.
Then, with eyes still closed, he turned towards the nearest tree, and began to walk. He walked towards it, keeping his focus on the energy, until he reached the base of the tree. Then, he slowly lifted one leg, and placed it on the side of the tree. He could feel the tree, and feel his foot pressing against it, clinging to it as if barbed.
Then, he slowly lifted his other leg, and his weight shift to the tree, moving backwards until his body was parallel with the ground, only 3 feet above it. Then, he placed his other leg next to the first.
He stayed as focused as he could, channeling the energy to the soles of his feet. His arms, resting at waist height, his hands keeping the form. Then, he took a step upwards, which to him was now forwards.
He could almost feel the drain of energy as he stepped, and as he stayed, yet it was a good strain. The strain of growing strength.
He took another step, then another, feeling the chakra flow with each time. He kept his eyes closed, honing his senses of sound and touch rather than sight. He could tell the top of the tree was coming. He then stepped to the side, onto a branch. Walking what would look as sideways along the branch, he stepped to the side again, and again. He was now hanging upside down from the branch. Breathing heavily, he could feel more of the strain from walking so slowly vertically up the tree, and now upside down.
He kept walking, moving upside down from branch to branch, tree to tree. It was a very strange thing, looking at the world upside down.
He kept going until he felt his chakra running low. Then, he dropped to the ground, twisting in the air so that he landed on his feet.
It was a good training, he thought, but he needed to do more. He was strong, but not strong enough for a Genin, and not close to a strong Shinobi. He had to train more. He needed to become stronger.
He paused, taking a few deep breaths, letting his energy slowly rise. There were jutsu's that he had to learn. One in particular he thought would come in use later, so he resolved to practice it.
He started walking out of the forest, towards the training field. It would not be a very long walk, but he decided to take it slowly, so that his energy could recover as he walked. He watched the sky as he walked, seeing the patches of blue through the dark leaves. Sometimes it made him wish he could fly, soar through the air like a dragon might.
He brought himself back to reality, as the training field came into view. He knew exactly what jutsu he wanted, and exactly how to get it. It would require work, though. Lots of hard work.
He walked to the middle of the field, seeing no one else there, and stood, soaking in the sun. Then, he breathed in, and began to focus.
The easiest way for him to achieve the jutsu would be to work on an easier one first, then begin to hone in on what mattered.
Taking a relaxed stance, he brought his hands up to his chest, and began to make the proper hand signs. He could feel his chakra rise as he did so. Then, closing his eyes, he focused intensely, and released it.
Clone jutsu.
A perfect replica appeared on either side of him. It did not require much mana, but he could still feel the slight strain.
He watched them, as the watched him. They mimicked his every move, talked as he did. It would be good to confuse opponents, but not good enough.
He released the clones, watching them dissipate in the air, blowing away with the wind. He wished that it would be possible for stronger clones. Ones that would fight as well, ones that would take hits, and deliver them as well.  Yet, those were shadow clones that could do such, and they were beyond his level. For now, he had to make due with only normal clones. Perhaps some day, though.
Going to the training logs, he decided to practice his speed jumping. He started on the very first one, and jumped onto the one in front of him, and then back. Then, he jumped over the one he had previously landed on, landing on the one ahead of it, and then hoping backwards without looking, he made a single jump to the first tree stump. Then, the next, and back, and the one after that, and back, and so on and so forth. Finally, he jumped forward all the way, landing on the furthest tree stump, and then turned and jumped all the way back. He felt the muscles in his legs strained slightly, but that was good. It meant he was getting stronger.
Now, he felt ready.
